The Boathouse Palm Beach, Sydney
Will Ross, September 29, 2017
After a long-haul flight to Sydney, there’s nothing quite like hopping north to the city’s beaches and indulging in some healthy new world cuisine and third wave coffee.
Both of these can be found at The Boathouse Palm Beach, part of small network of cafe-restaurants that find their foundations on Sydney’s prime waterfronts. Palm Beach is beyond Manly on a narrow peninsula one bay on from Whale Beach – so it’s pristine but not busy.
The menu involves chia bircher and kimchi bowls, as well as your avocado and poached eggs classics. Lunch options cover a range of meaty surf and turf options. Also devour the local daily newspapers over tea, coffee or a cold pressed juice.
Find other cafes from The Boathouse at Balmoral Bay and Shelly Beach (Manly). For swimmers, the 50-metre Palm Beach Rockpool is also a must, found on the south-east end of the beach.
